Foam in wastewater

FAQ 28.05.2023

How to reduce foam in wastewater?

Foaming is a common operational problem in many wastewater treatments plants. It disturbs effluent quality, reduces the performance of water treatment and can also overflow out of tanks with risk to the environment. Far more powerful than organic products, SILCOLAPSE™ silicone ranges are the best technology to avoid foam issues. They can be added directly in the tanks at very low dosage using a pump or added with a water spray system. They are safe to handle, easily dosed and readily dispersible, thus contributing to better water quality and processes reliability.
